Public Policy Forum Website

Public Policy Forum is an independent think-tank working to foster collaboration between established and emerging voices in public policy. Their previous website was in need of a refresh to feel more modern and contemporary as well as ensure that it was easy for all users to navigate.

We started with updating the branding: designing a new logo with bold shapes and approachable rounded corners. We also updated the colour palette to a more refined teal spectrum, while remaining non-partisan politically. Finally, we introduced several typefaces, including a serif, to provide variety to the site as well as make it easier for users to read their extensive policy reports and projects.

While the previous homepage used a continuous newsfeed/blog style, the new homepage draws inspiration from contemporary news websites with a clear hierarchy of large, bold headline imagery followed by smaller points of interest for users. We streamlined the site navigation, grouping similar items together to make the site less cluttered and help users to find what they need quickly and easily.

The final result is a modern website that is simple to use and reflects the innovative work happening at PPF.
